Kevin began his career in the building industry as an Apprentice Carpenter in 1974 with Pepper Construction. He is a trade qualified builder with a Trade certificate and Advanced Trade certificate and has worked on various large construction projects within the region.
He has worked for Pepper Construction, Jones and Sanford Construction and Inglewood concrete (ICL).
In 1993 he retrained to change his career with Taranaki Polytechnic over a two year period and obtained his New Zealand Certificate in Architectural Draughting from there he spent six years with Tse Taranaki & Associates as an Architectural Draughtsman then 10 years with Boon Goldsmith Bhaskar Brebner (Boon).
In 2008 he started his own Architectural Design business which he ran for four years as a licence building practitioner in design. In 2011 Tse Taranaki & Associates called and offered him a position as a Structural Draughtsman which he accepted. He spent 12 years there until the Director took early retirement in 2023.
He started with Stanley Gray in February 2023 doing Structural Draughting and looks forward to many happy years with them.
Outside work Kevin enjoys Vegetable Gardening, Hobby Beekeeping, making wooden toys and getting out and about in his 1959 Mercury car.
